PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Medical Center in Cottage Grove, Oregon is seeking a CT Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $42.23 – $63.35. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Details about the position:

  • Performs all routine and specialized CT procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.

  • Operates CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.

  • Performs X-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures.

  • Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.

  • Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated.

  • Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems.

  • Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.

  • Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration.

What you bring:

  • Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience preferred

  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency

  • Required: PACS/RIS knowledge; EPIC RIS, FUJI and IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred

  • Permanent (OBMI) (RT) licensure with Permanent (OBMI) CT OR Temporary (OBMI) CT Licensure Certification is required upon hire.

  • Permanent (OBMI) CT Licensure is required within 1 year of hire OR at the expiration of the last Temporary CT (OBMI) License.

  • ARRT - R required at hire. Advanced CT certification required within 1 year of hire. Advanced ARRT (CT) Credential through an Advanced Nuclear Medicine (NM) Credential pathway instead of the Advanced ARRT (R) pathway is acceptable. This pathway would not require the new hire to need the ARRT (R) credential.

  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
