Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Engineering industry, located in Costa Mesa, California. This role involves maintaining and processing financial records, performing account reconciliations, and managing both accounts payable and receivable.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process financial data entries and maintain customer credit records
• Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Manage both accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures
• Utilize accounting software, preferably Deltek Ajera, for project accounting, time and expense tracking, and reporting
• Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting best practices
• Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding financial matters
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
• Handle payroll processing and maintain accurate records
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various accounting and bookkeeping tasks. Requirements • Proven experience in the field of bookkeeping within the Engineering industry
• Proficiency in account reconciliation and the ability to accurately rectify any discrepancies
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing and payment
• Expertise in performing bank reconciliations, verifying transactions and ensuring financial records are accurate
• Strong bookkeeping skills, with a solid understanding of the general ledger and financial reporting
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills to ensure accuracy in financial records
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use complex formulas and create detailed financial reports
• Experience in month end close processes, including preparing financial statements and reporting on financial performance
• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll, including processing payments, calculating deductions, and maintaining accurate records
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar financial management software, with the ability to use this tool to streamline bookkeeping processes.
