Kids America Front Desk Coordinator in Coshocton, Ohio

Kids America is looking for a Front Desk Coordinator!

This position will start at minimum wage and will start part time but could move up to 35 hours a week.  Computer knowledge and Front Desk experience are a benefit.  At this point, there isn't a consistent shift available, it could be morning, afternoon or evening.

Position Summary:

The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for Kids America visitors and plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. This position involves handling administrative tasks, assisting visitors, and supporting various programs and services offered by Kids America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, answer phones, and respond to emails in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Reception Duties: Manage check-ins, registrations, and memberships.  Maintain accurate records of visitor information and activities.
  • Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing mail. Prepare and distribute informational materials about community center programs.
  • Facility Management: Monitor the front desk area and ensure it is clean and organized. Report any maintenance or facility issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including arranging rooms, equipment, and supplies. Provide support to event organizers and participants as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Manage and process payments for concessions, program fees, membership dues, and facility rentals. Maintain accurate records of transactions and handle cash securely.
  • Communication: Provide clear and accurate information about community center programs, services, and policies. Collaborate with other staff members to address and resolve any visitor concerns or issues.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow and enforce safety and emergency procedures, including responding to incidents and contacting emergency services if necessary.

     

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma (or working toward diploma) or equivalent preferred. Additional education or certification in office administration or customer service is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred. Experience in a community center or similar setting is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and general office equipment (phones, printers, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Basic cash handling and mathematical skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: This is a part time position and could be days, nights, or weekends.  
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 20-30 pounds, and perform tasks involving bending, reaching, and standing.
