HP Inc. Development Process Technician 4 in Corvallis, Oregon

Scope / Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for following procedures compliant with HP 200As Design Control Process

  • Responsible and accountable for following Good Manufacturing Practices

  • May support device related testing and verification assessments to include functional and performance evaluations, in support of product and/or process development.

  • May be responsible for developing and maintaining technical records within design history files associated with development products and may begin to serve as a coach to junior staff.

  • Provides input into the development of and changes to controlled documents (e.g., SOPs, Specifications, Methods, Reports, etc.) as needed.

  • Participates in compliance audits as required.

  • Applies comprehensive process knowledge in support of technical testing and experiments.

  • Performs investigations and analysis of procedures and testing requirements.

  • Completes process deviations, CAPAs and change controls.

  • Demonstrates an in-depth application of safety and quality guidelines and lead others in their application.

  • Leads trouble shooting and investigations of critical equipment and process issues.

  • Responsible for equipment, tool and software management activities

  • May perform assembly, installation, and maintenance of equipment or processes and software/firmware of custom tools, as needed.

  • Responsible for the creation of prototypes including the molding of plastic parts, 3D parts and basic machining and assembly processes.

  • Participates in cross-functional work.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

  • Participates in compliance audits as required.

  • Follows Good Documentation Practices.

  • Initiates specified changes to quality processes to reduce defects and to improve quality.

  • May perform CAPA and NC activities.

  • May perform data review activities.

  • May perform Verification & Validation activities.

  • May participate in project work and initiatives associated with Quality System in conformance to regulatory requirements.

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrates proficiency in respective subject matter and processes.

  • General understanding and knowledge of routine terminology; general understanding of regulations, where applicable.

Job Complexity

  • Moderate: Some senior management interface; frequent cross-functional/cross-organizational interaction on execution of tactics

  • Applies developed knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks.

  • Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in troubleshooting issues or in making recommendations.

  • Uses technical expertise to solve intricate problems; Involved in a wide range of tasks.

  • Thorough understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.

Supervision

  • Works under limited supervision and normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments.

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma/Associates degree required; BS/BA degree preferred; 4+ years of related experience

  • Basic knowledge of the selected field.

The pay range for this position is $28.94 to $42.83 per hour (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
