Supervision received from a higher-level administrator. Does related work as required. Work Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, with benefitsSalary: $26.4962-33.5375/HR (CSEA Union)Location: Cortland County PlanningStatus: non-competitive, probationaryBenefits: New York State Retirement System, Low Deductible Health Insurance Plan, Generous Paid Time Off Including 13 Paid Holidays, Tuition Assistance available after one (1) year of employment. Position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS: Either:(a)Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Planning (e.g. Urban, Regional, Community or Environmental), Environmental Design, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Landscape Architecture, Building or Civil Engineering, Geography, Social Science, Sustainability, or comparable curriculum And one (1) year of work experience in regional, municipal, community or land-use planning; OR(b)Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in one of the above fields and three (3) years of work experience as defined in (a); OR(c)An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).Note: Degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If the degree was awarded by an educational institution outside of the United States and its territories, applicant must provide independent verification of equivalency.
