Title:

Lead Specialist, Quality Assurance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain the project management system, adopting corporate KBR procedures and any procedures from the client and project specific procedures.

  • To develop and maintain the Quality Plan for the project to ensure all relevant aspects of quality and ISO 9001 are adequately identified and controlled.

  • To develop, manage and implement an audit schedule (internal and external) to ensure compliance across the project including contractors and major subcontractors.

  • Understands engineering in the Pre-Feed, Feed and Detailed Engineering phases of a project.

  • Able to prepare Quality QPI’s and track them on an ongoing basis.

  • To conduct an ISO 9001:2008 management review at suitable intervals to ensure the continuing effectiveness of the project management system and to supply information to corporate.

  • Carry out and/or lead internal and external audits.

  • To provide quality training, including induction to all relevant project personnel.

  • To participate in all procurement and subcontracting processes to ensure quality requirements are specified, suppliers are properly assessed and audited as necessary and documentation is reviewed and approved/accepted and all requirements implemented including statutory and certification requirements.

  • To encourage and facilitate quality improvements, lessons learned, customer feedback and measurement and analysis of process and performance effectiveness.

  • To manage and coordinate contractors’ and major subcontractors’ QC and inspection activities including at their premises and on site.

  • To produce reports on quality activities to the Project Quality Manager and others as appropriate / required.

  • To liaise with client Quality Representative(s) and other partner or contractors’ representatives.

  • Develop statistical reports on Quality performance.

Qualifications & Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in large engineering projects (oil and gas and infrastructure related).

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must

  • Experienced in the certification process, and implementation and compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

  • A track record of QA/QC including organization of own time, prioritizing different activities, and negotiation skills.

  • Has a previous record of developing productive working relationships with colleagues, the client and subcontractors.

  • Proficient use of Word and Excel e.g. writing reports, developing flow charts etc.
