Description:
As an Experienced Process Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for surgical needle production. Your responsibilities will include:
Functioning as the primary engineering owner for assigned manufacturing processes
Leading projects to innovate process technology, improve reliability, or increase capacity
Providing written and oral reports on process performance
Collaborating with Manufacturing Operations and Maintenance to resolve technical issues
Investigating and leading corrective actions for product and process nonconformances
Acting as a safety champion by training personnel and investigating safety incidents
Leading continuous improvement initiatives in your assigned area
Supporting the implementation of new processes and process modifications
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience and Skills:
Required:
2 years of relevant experience
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to apply them with initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other relevant applications.
Preferred:
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and familiarity with statistical analysis.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, such as through internships or co-op programs, is highly desirable.
Other:
- This position will be located 100% onsite in Cornelia, GA, with occasional domestic travel required.
