Staff Engineer, Additive Operations Engineering

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced engineering team working with ground-breaking additive technologies. The Staff Engineer will provide technical leadership in the Stryker facility across one or more of our core manufacturing competencies.

What you will do:

  • Management of significant engineering projects through PMO and provide operational support to manufacturing activities.

  • Provide technical leadership within the engineering team and ownership of the plant metrics from an engineering perspective.

  • Provide support to Process Development / Advanced Operations on technology development and application within the manufacturing process.

  • Provide engineering support for new Product and new process introduction, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with Stryker New product Development Process.

  • Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture within manufacturing.

  • Responsible for assisting in the development of a world class-manufacturing group that is proficient in process improvement and problem-solving manufacturing issues using Six-Sigma tools.

  • Support process development and cost reduction activities within the business units.

What you will need:

  • Level 8 Honours Degree in an engineering discipline.

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Med devices experience is desired.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external agents.

  • Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment.

  • Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
