GE Healthcare IT Business Analyst - Pharma QC in Cork, Ireland

Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with a background in pharmaceutical quality control. The role holder will manage the end-to-end life cycle of QC applications which are critical to batch release, such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS). The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze current business processes and IT systems in the quality control domain

  • Gather and document user requirements for LIMS, CDS, and EMS

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement system improvements

  • Create detailed functional and technical specifications for system enhancements

  • Facilitate communication between IT teams and quality control departments

  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other relevant regulatory standards

  • Participate in system validation activities and documentation

  • Provide training and support for end-users on new features and processes

  • Conduct gap analyses and propose solutions to optimize system performance

  • Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong knowledge of LIMS, CDS, and EMS applications

  • Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and other pharmaceutical quality regulations

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field

  • Certifications such as CSBA, CBAP, or PMP

  • Experience with specific LIMS (Labvantage) or CDS (Chromeleon) platforms

  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring practices in pharmaceutical manufacturing

  • Experience with Agile methodologies
