Description:

Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, have a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.

• Review potential sites and draft concept plans.

• Review and develop plans that meet Subdivision and Land Development codes and regulations.

• Review and develop plans that meet Zoning ordinances.

• Draft ordinances for subdivision and land developments

• Prepare /assist in preparing comprehensive plans.

• Assist zoning officer /experience as a zoning officer.

• Interpret Surveys (topo, wetland)

• Meet and coordinate with government staff.

• Develop preliminary plans.

• Submit plans for approvals at Planning Commissions and City Council, utilities and other authorities.

• Attending public meetings

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in land planning, landscape architecture, or related field

• AICP a plus

• 3-5+ years’ experience in land development entitlement and/or land use entitlement process
