Description:

Review contract drawings and requirements and ensure that specifications are met.

Develop preliminary drawing/document list and schedule to complete the design activities.

Select the type of equipment most suited for the application, taking into account duty cycle; environmental, safety and regulatory factors; and costs.

Coordinate with other engineers, designers and departments to ensure integrated design.

Make and maintain calculations for sizing electrical components.

Design the project’s electrical and control system.

Prepare specifications for the electrical and control system components.

Requisition electrical and control system components and approve vendor submittals.

Oversee the development of project electrical drawings.

Assist the project manager with technical expertise that may be required throughout the project.

Prepare proper project documentation including maintenance manuals, operating instructions, etc.

Skills:

Autocad, control system design, low voltage system, allen-bradley, siemens plc, microsoft project

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience directly related to industrial furnaces.

Competent knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and control instrumentation.

Competent knowledge of the main codes and standards.

Creativity and strong problem solving skills essential.

Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization.

Demonstrated time management skills necessary to manage simultaneously multiple projects.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Microsoft Project and AutoCAD experience

Licensed Professional Engineer

3-5 years of professional experience
