Robert Half Purchaser in Coral Springs, Florida
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchaser to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Coral Springs, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and inputting purchase orders, reviewing inventory levels, and managing multiple currencies. You will also be responsible for creating orders in accordance with requirements, and organizing paperwork packets according to shipping dates.
Responsibilities:
• Interpret and input purchase orders from vendors
• Check order information for accuracy and timeliness
• Virtually review inventory levels to release orders
• Create orders according to requirements
• Print and assemble order paperwork packages
• Organize paperwork packet priorities according to ship date
• Manage multiple currencies
• Utilize strong math skills to ensure accuracy in order processing
• Print and organize documents and labels for correct dispatch
• Carry out other duties as assigned
Skills:
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Familiar with IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites
• Knowledge of About Time, Buying Processes, and Component Selection
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Experience in Manufacturing Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Purchaser role within the Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Experience with IBM AS/400 and Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and About Time software
• Familiarity with Buying Processes and Component Selection
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• Professional certifications in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management are a plus.
