Position Summary:

The Assistant Curriculum and Transfer Credit Evaluation Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the integrity and undergraduate business education coordinator in ensuring the smooth operation of the curriculum and transfer credit evaluation processes. This position will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of academic policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Management:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the undergraduate business curriculum, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and program objectives.

*Assist with the course scheduling and registration process

  • Coordinate curriculum review processes, including faculty input, program assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

*Assist in course scheduling for MHBS, including PIN process and distribution, Requisites on Adjust Class association

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date curriculum documentation, including course catalogs, syllabi, and course outlines.

Transfer Credit Evaluation:

*Assist in evaluating transfer credits from external institutions to determine equivalency and applicability to the undergraduate business programs with Miami Herbert Business Faculty

  • Understanding of transfer credit policies, procedures, and potential challenges.

  • Maintain accurate records of transfer credit evaluations and communicate outcomes to students and faculty.

  • Work in the MATES system of the University providing clear information on credit transfers. The goal is to help prospective and current students take the necessary steps for course approval and a seamless transition to UM.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage administrative tasks related to curriculum development, transfer credit evaluation, and academic advising.

  • Coordinate meetings, attend meetings, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.

  • Assist in the preparation of accreditation reports and self-studies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field (e.g., education, business administration).

  • Proven experience in academic administration, curriculum development, or transfer credit evaluation.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with student information systems (SIS) and learning management systems (CLSS), curriculum Management (CIM)

  • Familiarity with undergraduate university business education accreditation standards (e.g., SACS, AACSB).

  • Knowledge of course equivalency databases and transfer credit clearinghouses.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
