The University of Miami, Department of Writing Studies, seeks applicants for part-time lecturer positions to teach one or two sections of Writing. Classes may include Writing Center tutoring or classes in basic writing, business writing or science and technical writing in addition to the first year courses. Duties will include a minimum of one hour per week of office hours per course to meet with students.Minimum qualifications include 1 year of college teaching experience and a MA or MFA in English (or relevant field) to teach English Composition or tutor in the Writing Center. Applications will be reviewed as received and this pool will remain open though the academic year. An appointment/offer is contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding with the possibility that final confirmation will not be available until classes begin.
