Starbucks Learning & Development Specialist - Latin America & Caribbean [(Miami - U.S.), (Hybrid - U.S.) in Coral Gables, Florida
As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will contribute to Starbucks success by managing learning and development (L&D) initiatives and processes, to meet the needs of Starbucks Latin America & Caribbean business. This role consults with the retail business to identify learning needs and assists in developing and localizing learning solutions that build functional capability and meet business objectives.
In this L&D role, you will…
Support the creation of L&D program materials.
Gather content and source materials in support of specific program areas
Manage localization and translation of L&D program materials.
Document, administer and maintain existing L&D processes and programs.
Track L&D program activity and prepare reports.
Support program evaluation through data collection and analysis, including collecting feedback and metrics within specific program or content areas.
Respond to partner inquiries regarding L&D programs, including monitoring email and web communications and following up to ensure resolution.
Support L&D manager with project-specific needs.
We’d love to hear from people with:
3+ years managing learning programs
2+ years basic project management skills
2+ years facilitating groups and delivering presentations
Knowledge of adult learning theory and the effective application in a business setting.
Familiarity with e-learning platforms and authoring tools
Ability to plan, implement and monitor effective delivery of learning and development solutions.
Problem solving skills that allows them to recognize potential roadblocks before they become larger issues.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to influence effectively others.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and online meeting technologies
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively in Spanish and English, Portuguese is a plus.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
If you live in Miami, we offer a flexible workplace that allows for hybrid work. Partners can work remotely up to two days per week.
