The Department of Art & Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Miami, is soliciting applications for a Full-Time Lecturer in Graphic Design for the Spring 2024 academic year, with a start date of January 1, 2024.

The position will require the successful faculty member to teach four courses per semester at the undergraduate level in Graphic Design.

Preferred Qualifications: MFA or MA in Graphic Design, Animation, or related Graphic Design field. Professional experience in graphic design and animation preferred.

Primary responsibilities include teaching a 4/4 undergraduate load in a range of graphic design courses. Applicants should have experience in professional design practices, screen and print-based design in both production and theory, web and mobile design, UX/UI design, 2-D, and 3-D animation preferred. Experience teaching industry standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, including After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Procreate, and Figma. Experience in Blender or Maya is desirable.
