Copper Mountain Resort Vehicle Maintenance Technician Level 3 in Copper Mountain, Colorado

Vehicle Maintenance Technician Level 3 at Copper Mountain Resort Start Date: October 1, 2024 End Date: April 28, 2025

Powdr - Copper Mountain LLC d/b/a Copper Mountain Resort, located in Copper Mountain, Colorado, seeks four (4) full-time, temporary Vehicle Maintenance Technicians Level 3 who will be responsible for inspecting automobiles, trucks, snowcats, and equipment to determine the extent of repairs, performing needed repairs on gasoline, diesel, and propane engines with minimal instruction, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing components as needed, repairing cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems using diagnostic tools, performing preventative maintenance as needed to improve condition and performance of the fleet, operating equipment to troubleshoot and test equipment as needed, maintaining records of all maintenance performed, assisting in the training of Copper Mountain Resort personnel in the operation of equipment, to include vehicle check-out procedures, equipment use and safety, and cleaning and maintaining garage area as needed. May need to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

Will report directly to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager at Copper Mountain Resort.

One (1) year of automobile mechanical maintenance experience required.

Applicant must possess a valid U.S. or international driver s license prior to arrival in the United States and be able to obtain a Commercial Driver s License once in the United States (training available through Employer).

Travel is not required.

Daily transportation is not provided to and from worksite.

On-the-job training is provided.

Wage: $28.72 - $40.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available at $43.08 - $60.00 per hour. Employee may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a discretionary retention bonus, to be paid on the paycheck cycle after completion of the agreed upon date.

Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:30am to 1:30pm, 7:30am to 2:30pm, and 7:00am to 2:00pm. Shift hours may vary.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.

Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $ 200.06 per bi-weekly pay period. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A partially refundable security deposit of $400.06 will be deducted from the first paycheck upon acceptance of housing ($150.00 refundable security deposit, plus $50.00 non-refundable administration fee, plus two weeks advance rent payment ($200.06)). Administration fee waived for returning residents. Partially refundable $150.00 security deposit to be returned to the employee, based on the condition of the housing and at the employer s sole discretion, at the end of the employment period. On-site employee store purchases and/or employee donations to local non-profits may also be deducted from the employee s paycheck, if elected by employee.

Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker s sole benefit, including 401k. Employees in their 3rd season may elect to enroll in medical, dental, or vision insurance.

All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer ill pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
