Robert Half Tax Manager in Coppell, Texas

Description Robert Half's client in the Wealth Management space is looking for a talented tax detail oriented to work in tandem with their wealth management and investment departments. In this role, the tax manager will help design and implement business tax strategies as well as evaluate best practices and processes to ensure compliance with filing deadlines and tax regulations. The role will consist of business development opportunities in partnership with various team members by cross selling our services for wealth management, insurance, and retirement plans. The ideal candidate is an analytical, detail-oriented detail oriented who enjoys solving complex tax-related issues with 5+ years of business tax experience. You must be willing to work in a team environment and communicate complex subjects matters to clients easily and successfully.

RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in developing business and investment strategies for an optimized after-tax return for a client Ensure that business and personal tax-return preparation meets all regulatory requirements Review operations and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal statutes and regulations Seek new efficiencies for the tax department and improve client experience Oversee and work with the tax team to ensure compliance and best practices are being utilized Review all business tax returns and some individual tax returns Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new clients by providing exceptional client service and advice Seek opportunities for legal tax saving strategies for businesses including retirement plan contributions, QBI planning Determine best tax structure for businesses and implement Remain up to date with changes in the tax code and accounting laws Conduct research on tax compliance issues at the state and national levels Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required Extensive knowledge of accounting methods and tax laws Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills Proficiency with relevant tax and accounting software

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in accounting or Taxation 3-5 years of experience working on complex business returns and strategies CPA preferred
