Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly (assembly of light mechanical or electrical component parts or sub-assemblies that may require the use of hand tools) and record storage. Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Repair and recoup damaged goods as required. Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary. Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise. Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked. Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag or mark orders as required. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed. Accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move product into trailers, rail cars or containers. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. Operate shrink-wrap machine. Charge forklift battery/gas tanks as needed; repair pallets when necessary; clean railcars, trailers, and truck bays as requested Maintain a clean neat and orderly work area

Education & Experience:

High school or G.E.D. degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Operations:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, timekeeping, HRIS and other software systems used in the performance of job duties. RF Scanner

Physical Activity Level:
