Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager w/Workday in Coppell, Texas

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager in the amusement and recreation services industry, based in Coppell, Texas. This role focuses on managing the accounts payable process, helping with ERP implementation, and interacting with team members across the company.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the accounts payable process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Assisting with the implementation of a new ERP system to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.

• Conducting frequent inventory counts and reconciling them with the general ledger.

• Auditing Pcard transactions on a monthly basis and liaising with stores and Corporate Cards for any missing receipts.

• Reviewing and processing vendor invoices and maintaining regular communication with store management teams.

• Ensuring all purchases from vendors are recorded in the correct period.

• Analyzing vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies.

• Assisting in day-to-day management tasks as required.

    Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Amusement/Recreation or Entertainment industry.

• Proven experience in managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

• Expertise in maintaining and overseeing the general ledger, with the ability to accurately track and record financial transactions.

• Demonstrated experience in day-to-day management, capable of coordinating team efforts and maintaining workflow efficiency.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal departments.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

• High focus on detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team, providing guidance and support where necessary.

• Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and procedures, ensuring all activities adhere to legal standards.

• Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) would be advantageous.
