Lutron is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director of Internal Communications to further develop and lead our corporate-wide internal communication program and activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and scale a reimagined internal communications function to link the company's strategic initiatives with employees all around the globe, ensuring that we are delivering targeted, high-quality content aligned with Lutron's brand and reputation. You will train, develop, and manage a team, develop communication tools and infrastructure, and create targeted content to engage employees. You will connect employees with the company's strategic goals, key projects, and executive updates.

Additionally, you will utilize your proven interpersonal skills, creativity, and ability to motivate others to establish compelling employee engagement programs. This will include identifying and implementing communications opportunities that connect leadership to employees and developing key messages and communications materials. Your efforts will help shape and promote company progress, key initiatives, and high-level decisions to our people, enhancing overall employee engagement.

As the Director of Internal Communications, you will be the driving force behind creating and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy. This position reports directly to the global, Senior Vice President of HR.

Responsibilities

 

  • * Develop and implement a strategic internal communications plan that aligns with company objectives, principles, and culture.
  • * Evaluate effectiveness of initiatives to understand short-term and long-term success
  • * Craft compelling and engaging storytelling and messaging that convey information in a relatable manner to all employee groups
  • * Lead the creation and distribution of a variety of traditional and digital internal communications.
  • * Collaborate with C-suite executives and department heads to develop tailored communication strategies and messaging.
  • * Display a consultative mindset with problem solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • * Drive communication strategies around change management initiatives.
  • * Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • * Measure the impact and effectiveness of communications through metrics and feedback and adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
  • * Develop and manage a team of internal communications professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • * Develop a deep understanding of employee sentiment and factor it into planning and decision making
  • * Regularly manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • * Cultivate a proven culture of collaboration to create experiences that engage, connect, and inspire the community of employees.
  • * Develop an editorial calendar that is synced with key decisions, actions, and planning.
  • * Support leadership and company meetings by crafting messaging, agenda topics, speaker selection and logistics.
  • * Stay current with industry best practices and trends in internal communications, implementing innovative approaches to enhance employee engagement.

Qualifications

 

 

  • * Bachelor's degree: Master's degree is a plus
    • 15+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of leading an internal/employee communications team
  • * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • * Proficiency in utilizing modern communication tools, platforms, and technologies with ability to learn new technologies when a need is identified.
  • * Creative mindset with the ability to conceive and curate authentic storytelling content and campaigns.
