Mary T Inc HR Generalist in Coon Rapids, Minnesota

Mary T Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Coon Rapids, MN. Benefits and 401k experience needed. The Position: The human resource generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR management in supporting designated areas of accountability. Responsibilities may include any or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits administration, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. Responsibilities include: Reviews and makes recommendations to HR management for improvement of the organization's human resources policies, procedures and practices Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; assists in maintaining the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations. Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees. Assist in developing and maintains affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 report annually; and maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Assists in handling employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. Acts as an employee relations specialist. Maintains employee personnel files.
