THE POSITION The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking hardworking, reliable individuals to work at this Pennsylvania State Park.  If you enjoy working with people and ensuring that park visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a clean and safe environment for recreation, apply today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK Provides routine manual work in the custodial care of Cook Forest State Park complex. You can expect to work on a regular basis, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to ensure the smooth operation of the park and meet the demands of different seasons.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal full-time employment, without benefits
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Work schedule varies; 37.5 hours/week; 7 days/week operation.
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts are required.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • No previous experience or training required.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Availability to work at location listed on this posting.
  • Willingness to accept a wage seasonal position without benefits.
  • Willingness to work various shifts.
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to navigate uneven or rough terrain.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • One year of experience in a custodial position or performing cleaning duties.
  • One year customer service experience communicating and interacting with the public.
  • Professional experience in the following:
  • Light bulb replacement
  • Moving furniture
  • Maintaining inventory of stock
  • Sweeping floors
  • Polishing/waxing floors
  • Supply delivery
  • Washing and scrubbing
  • Cleaning and sanitizing toilets
  • Cleaning and sanitizing bathroom facilities
  • Work with common cleaning products
  • Dusting
