Olsten Staffing is assisting a client in Conway, SC to find Rakers to join their team. This person will be responsible for raking small pieces of metals back onto the line for it to be solidified.
Qualifications for this job include:
-Able to work 12 hours rotating shifts. 7:00am-7:00pm/7:00pm-7:00am. Shifts rotate on a 2 week basis!
- Must be able to work in a HOT ENVIRONMENT. This is a metal plant that uses furnaces to melt metals.
-Unload delivery trucks, move raw materials from inventory, and load charge buckets using forklift and/or crane.
-Use computer system to enter and verify batch composition (i.e. alloy).
-Charge the melting furnace, adding charge buckets of raw materials using overhead crane with hook and lifting magnet.
-Monitor, take samples, and fine-tune melt chemistry.
-Initiate pouring of molten metal into and back-pouring of melt out of holding furnace.
-Address possible melt issues, including clogged pour spout, out-of-calibration lance, routine deslagging, and possible furnace over-heating, as needed.
-Must be energetic and work well in a team
-Proven history of job longevity, this is not a position for job hoppers
-Must be able to pass background and drug screen
- Reliable transportation is required
-Basic computer skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to work nights and weekends
This position will start at $15.00/hr. with potential for increases when hired on based on training and certifications. This is a long term, temp-to-hire opportunity.

Pay Details: $15.00 per hour
