\$27,040/Yr.

Position Summary

The School of Nursing Administrative SpecialistIIIwill be responsible for collecting and maintaining data, researching trends to prepare special reports and respond to national professional surveys required for approval and accreditation; initiating and maintaining affiliation agreements; collaborating on course scheduling, enrollment and other student services; and other administrative duties as assigned. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Data Base Manager:
  • Collect and manage data about students, clinical facilities and nursing trends to complete national professional surveys.
  • Provide trend data to School of Nursing Director as needed to make requests for resources and develop mandatory reports.
  1. Clinical Contract Manager:
  • Initiate and maintain Affiliation Agreements for all external and internal contracts.
  • Comply with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing by reviewing all active contracts yearly.
  • Use knowledge ofHIPPAand other regulations when maintaining files and corresponding with agencies.
  • Understand the basics about contract regulations when reviewing outside agreements.
  • Maintain accurate files & correspondence regarding clinical contracts.
  1. Course Scheduling, Enrollment, and Student Services
  • Collaborate with Program Coordinators and Education Counselors for course scheduling, student enrollment and student clinical requirements.
  • Add/edit/delete/inactivate courses each semester on Banner.
  • Remove students advising holds each semester after faculty complete advising.
  • Verify all students compliance with clinical requirements each semester for all students in all nursing programs and tracks. Make sure all students remain compliant throughout the semester.
  • Register students each semester for all nursing programs and tracks.
  • Notify course leaders, Program Coordinators, faculty, and staff of all students not in compliance with clinical requirements.
  • Onboard students prior to clinical experiences according to each agencys procedures.
  • Assist with nursing program admissions processes as needed and as directed by the Admissions Coordinator
  • Maintain student files per state file rules/regulations.
  • Schedule advising appointments for Education Counselors as needed.
  1. Other Administrative Duties
  • Assist Education Counselors with projects and daily duties.Assist Office Manager. Answer telephones, take detailed messages, and notify faculty/staff as needed. Other duties as assigned.
  • Serves on Undergraduate Curriculum, Admissions and Academic Affairs Committee.
  • Serves on Nursing Joint Council develops, revises, and recommends administrative policies and procedures based on research findings.
  • Serves on Nursing Staff Council develops, revises and recommends administrative policies and procedures based on research findings.
  • Serves on Faculty Staff Organization contributes to discussions and votes on proposals.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics. Knowledge of research and analysis techniques and methods. Knowledge of work-related subject area. Knowledge of computers and software applications. Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports. Ability to research and analyze related work program information. Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures. Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.

Required Education and/or Experience

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
