Who will you be working with?

This position will report to the Director of Commercial Operations Signaling & Systems, and it is based in Juiz de Fora, Brazil or Contagem. As a Senior Manager, Commercial Operations, you will lead a team of people and manage the entire ITO (Inquiry to Order) process. You will be responsible for coordinating, mentoring, technical training, and coaching junior-level team members. You will work closely with the Sales Directors and Account Managers to ensure that customer needs are met and that all commercial aspects of the deal are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Commercial group, you will be responsible for overall commercial project coordination, risk and mitigation, and associated reviews during the tollgate process. You will coordinate all commercial aspects of projects, including Client’s requirements, different types of procurement (RFP, RFQ, RFI, etc.), budgets, contracts, schedules, scope compliances and project plans. You will ensure that all commercial activities are aligned with the project's goals and objectives.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Experience in a similar role, with experience in managing people and complex train control and signaling engineering proposals.

  • Strong leadership skills, good communication and business acumen.

  • Experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies and proposals.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with Sales and Account Managers.

  • Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.

  • Knowledge of legal and financial requirements for contracts.

  • Spoken and written proficiency in the English language is a must.

  • This position requires that the candidate will take the surge capacity for international Signaling projects besides the projects in North America.

What will your typical day look like?

Leading and managing the ITO Process: You will lead the entire Inquiry to Order process, from receiving customer inquiries to generating proposals and closing deals. You will ensure that the team delivers high-quality proposals on time and within budget and that they comply with company standards and guidelines.

Risk and Mitigation: You will identify and assess project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Competitive Commercial Proposals: You will be responsible for providing competitive commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and business goals. You will take ownership and lead the negotiation of terms and conditions, margins, pricing, and other aspects required to close complex deals.

Collaborate with Sales and Account Managers: You will work closely with the Sales Directors and Account Managers to ensure that customer needs are met and that all commercial aspects of the deal are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Coordinate, Mentoring, Training, and Coaching: You will mentor, coordinate, technically train, and coach junior-level team members to ensure their professional growth and development, and that they are aligned with company standards and goals.

Contract Management: You will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts are executed in accordance with company policies and guidelines. You will work closely with the Legal and Finance teams to ensure that all contracts are compliant and meet all legal and financial requirements.
