Financial Analyst
A client of ours is looking for a Financial Analyst for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software systems, particularly NetSuite. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This also includes being responsible for assisting with forecasting, analysis, reporting, and business intelligence development.
Responsibilities of Financial Analyst
Provide support for various accounting tasks in accordance with department needs
Regularly build and maintain models to support organization reporting and tracking initiatives
Responsible for investigating and understanding key business issues behind the numbers and provide clear, concise, and timely analyses and recommendations
Participate in ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
Gather and organize large amounts of data from multiple systems and sources
Contribute to month end close, review of variances from budget, and expense review
Actively participate in the analysis and variance explanations of financial reports
Assist with year-end audit(s) by providing data requested by external auditors
Support ongoing budget and forecast performance, monitoring trends, analyze and communicate the results of efforts and insights
Leverage reporting tools to develop financial and analytical reports
Initiate and lead projects related to process improvement
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications of Financial Analyst
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles
3+years financial analysis experience
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience with financial software systems, with proficiency in NetSuite strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to strategize and solve problems
