Summary of Position The ASTM Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) was established in 2018 in response to the expansion of additive manufacturing technologies into new market segments as witnessed in recent years. By forging collaborations among industry, government, and academia, ASTM AM CoE is strategically positioned to accelerate standards development and provide AM programming to benefit the growing AM community. We are seeking an independent, organized, and driven Events Producer and Manager within ASTM who will be instrumental in developing, executing, and managing external-facing events to support the growth of the AM CoE's programs, products and services. This individual will further strengthen ASTM's reputation and brand image, amplify key messages, and enhance global market positioning through world class events. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone eager to make a measurable impact in the rapidly growing additive manufacturing sector. The Events Manager will have the opportunity to take ownership of high-profile projects like ICAM, collaborate with global industry leaders, and drive innovation in event strategy. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing plans to initiate and drive long-term programs and events for the ASTM AM CoE. Associated tasks include but are not limited to:

Develop and implement impactful regional (US/EU/Asia) events to promote ASTM AM activities to achieve aggressive growth targets defined by the AM community Lead and coordinate with partners and other stakeholders to organize international events (such as snapshot workshops, specialty workshops, and summits) for business development and increased stakeholder engagement Monitor and improve event plans for meeting key targets by regularly reviewing planned and executed activities to identify areas for improvement Analyze global trends for AM and AM-adjacent events and provide key insights from global activities to ASTM leadership Lead the organization of ASTM AM CoE initiatives and activities by combining strategic thinking, creativity, and a hands-on approach to execute impactful, scalable events (such as ASTM's Annual flagship event, International Conference for Advanced Manufacturing - ICAM) that are engaging and solidifying ASTM's leadership in the area of Advanced Manufacturing Define and track measurable goals and KPIs for events to achieve organizational business goals and objectives and continuously improve performance. Collaborate with marketing teams to design promotional materials, campaigns, and branding for AM CoE events. Support public relations efforts by building and maintaining relationships with media, influencers, and partners to promote ASTM AM CoE's leadership in Additive Manufacturing. Represent ASTM professionally at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

In general, the Events Producer Manager will be the engagement lead that organizes various global and regional ASTM AM events to support global business development. This role must have some level of understanding of Additive Manufacturing technologies as well as its role related to other emerging technologies. The Events Manager will also engage regularly with the AM community, formulating strategies and pla s to further position the work of the AM CoE within the global AM ecosystem.

Specifically, the rolewill: Develop, organize, and manage a wide range of events including workshops, symposia, conferences, and trade shows. Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, agenda development, vendor coordination, marketing, and post-event reporting. Work in a collaborative mode with colleagues to meet event goals and objectives. Stay current with emerging trends and issues related to and beyond the additive manufacturing space. Facilitate negotiations and close partnership agreements with different stakeholders from government agencies and the private sector. Identify and realize commercialization opportunities through different channels. Execute the events sponsorship program's agenda and objectives to maximize stakeholder engagement. Represent ASTM at conferences and trade shows in the advanced manufacturing space or other related areas. Prepare post-event evaluations and dissemination reports, providing actionable insights for future activities. Please note that some travel will be required for this position (approximately 20-30%).

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant business, or events management field with at least 5 years of professional experience in event planning and management. Proven track record of successfully organizing and executing large-scale events with a global audience including conferences, workshops, and webinars. Excellent communication and negotiation skills in conducting business and collaboration activities in an international setting. Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Ability to work closely with a diverse collection of staff, technical committees, individual technical experts, and contractors. Ability to think "big-picture" and connect opportunities to current or required organizational reality. Experience in using data analytics tools to measure event success and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement. High level of proficiency to work with CRM, marketing, and business development tools. Proficiency with virtual event platforms, such as Zoom, and event management tools like Eventbrite, is desired. Some level of understanding of ASTM's strategies and industry trends. High competence in event and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications MBA with a specialization in marketing, communication, Event Management, or related field. 5 years of professional events management experience within additive manufacturing or related field in advanced manufacturing. Knowledge of existing regulation requirements and standards. Demonstrated leadership and ability to execute large scale events, workshops, and webinars. Demonstrated partnership management with the capability to juggle between multiple projects and priorities. Demonstrated ability to manage on-site crises and adapt plans under pressure to ensure the success of events. Excellent relationship management skills and ability to represent company at a global scale Proven record of influencing people without positional authority. Critical thinker and decision maker, able to understand and relate what is best for the company Strategic vision with ability to propose, analyze, and articulate short-, medium- and long-term scenarios for various types of events.
