Position Overview: A client of ours in the Conroe area is seeking a skilled Contract Senior Accountant with extensive proficiency in Epicor software to join our team on a long-term contract or potentially contract to hire basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and optimizing financial processes using Epicor's suite of tools. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, leveraging Epicor software for accurate and timely reporting.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, utilizing Epicor to streamline budgeting processes and improve forecasting accuracy.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring efficient processing and timely payments/receipts.
Financial Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, workflows, and internal controls using Epicor software functionalities.
Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and reconciliations facilitated through Epicor software capabilities.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements, leveraging Epicor's regulatory reporting features.
System Maintenance and Training: Act as a subject matter expert for Epicor software, providing guidance to finance and accounting teams, and participating in system upgrades and maintenance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Senior Accountant with extensive use of Epicor software in a corporate setting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present financial information clearly.
