Job Description Summary Work in multiple areas of the plant as assigned. Trim, inspect and sort defects from both raw and cooked product being processed and removes foreign material in potato production facility. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. • Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures. • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment as directed by plant policies and procedures. • Must have the ability to work overtime as required. • Must actively practice and abide by all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and general hygiene regulations as outlined in the employee handbook. • Removes foreign materials and non-standard product processing and packaging equipment as assigned. • Trims defects from raw product, orients raw products in cutting equipment as assigned. Performs essential duties of pack base labor, as assigned. Inspects cooked product and records written information. Inspects raw products to ensure that it has been cut, cleaned and blanched, ready for final inspection. Basic & Preferred Qualifications Qualifications & Experience To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Communication Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. You must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Have the ability to communicate in English commensurate with the requirements of the position including reading and writing. Oral Communication - Listen and get clarification; respond well to questions; participate in meetings. Written Communication - Write clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information. Safety and Security -You must observe and follow safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
