Mechanical/HVAC Engineer I

We are seeking a driven Mechanical/HVAC Engineer I with 0-4 years of experience to join our growing team in Conneaut, OH. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to mechanical/HVAC system design including, engineering calculations, HVAC equipment selections, ductwork/piping layouts and sizing. You will work under the direction of a Professional Engineer to perform other design related tasks. This role offers growth opportunities as you become responsible for broader aspects of HVAC Engineering and design, while gaining experience towards a PE license.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical/HVAC system design.
Select equipment such as fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, chillers, etc.
Size and layout ductwork and piping.
Perform load calculations using Trance Trace.
Conduct energy modeling.
Travel to project sites to survey existing conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project team members.
Work with clients, vendors and contractors on a limited basis.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical concentration.
FE/E.I.T. Certification is strongly desired.
0 to 4 years’ experience
Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software platforms.
Microsoft Office Suite.
Occasional travel may be required.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
