The pay range for this position is $17.81 - $23.39 per hour
The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles has a full-time vacancy for Licensing Examiner I
, SOC Title 13-1040 COMPLIANCE OFFICERS-1, which has a 40 hour work week and is considered non-exempt.
SUMMARY:
Administers a variety of tests and driving skills examinations to applicants to ensure that only qualified individuals are issued operator driver licenses and motorcycle driver licenses. Reviews applicant information for consistency with applicable motor vehicle laws and administrative rules, to ensure that applicants are eligible to apply for and receive a New Hampshire driver license, non-driver identification card or other official document.

Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience:
Three years of experience in instruction, training, customer service, driving work or a related field.
License/Certification:
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Motorcycle License within six (6) months of hire. Licenses must be free of motor vehicle violations that are determined by the Director of Motor Vehicles to be disqualifying.
Must maintain Defensive Driving Certification.
Must successfully complete the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Driver Licensing Examiner Certification Program within twelve (12) months of hire, or as scheduled.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment.
