Emerson Hospital *** Clinical Office Coordinator - OJT in Concord, Massachusetts

Reporting to the Practice Manager and overseen by the office manager, the Clinical Office Coordinator\'s primary responsibilities are to provide comprehensive secretarial and clerical support to staff and the physician. Greet patients upon arrival in a professional manner Processes patients quickly and accurately through the computer based scheduling system for future appointments, surgeries and/or testing as appropriate for patient care. Captures and enters high quality patient demographic and financial information Maintains orderliness of reception area and Front desk ensuring patient confidentiality. Answers incoming phone calls in a professional manner and schedules patient appointments, take messages pertaining to scheduling, procedures, or billing questions, and handles the task, or distributes appropriately. Orders necessary office and medical supplies and insures security of all medications. Communicates with physicians? offices and staff in a timely and professional manner. Schedules and coordinate surgical procedures with the hospital and the patient Collect Co-payments and reconcile daily logs General assistance with faxing, scanning, and importing documents into EMR Assist in opening and/or closing the office Forward calls to and retrieve messages from the answering service daily Referral management Obtain prior authorizations for procedures from insurance companies Maintains and supports patient\'s rights to care, privacy and respect. Other duties as assigned Education - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience - One year Administrative Assistant/Medical Office preferred, but not required Licensure and/or Certification - none Skills - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EMR systems preferred. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required. Familiarity with Urology or medical terminology preferred Able to work effectively as a team player, or independently to balance and prioritize multiple requests Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidential information required.
