Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a 9-month contract-to-hire role with a custom machine builder in Walker. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of mentorship or leadership experience and a career path to move into a Lead Controls role overseeing 4-5 mid-level engineers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and work in a new facility with a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Design electrical schematics and drawings.
Program Fanuc and ABB robots from the ground up.
Program and work with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs from start to finish.
Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of mid-level engineers.
Collaborate with both design and programming teams to ensure project efficiency.
Travel 25-30%, with half being local and the other half across the US.
Work an additional 5-10 hours of overtime per week consistently.
Must Have Qualifications
PLC programming from scratch in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Electrical design in AutoCAD Electrical.
Robotic programming from the ground up with Fanuc and ABB robots.
Custom machine design experience.
Ability to travel 25-30%.
