Precise Cast Prototypes And Engineering, Inc. Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineer in Commerce City, Colorado
We are a fast-paced manufacturing company with an immediate opening for a Manufacturing/ Mechanical Engineer who will assist our Lead Production Engineer and Ops Manager. The focus of this job is on the supervisory side, but your engineering problem solving skills will come into constant play. Duties will include: Safety Understand and manage the scope of the project, deliverables, and expectations of our customers. Process/Procedure creation, training, and compliance Collaborate with the engineering team and our customers to quickly solve problems. Oversee Foundry and Machining operations; provide inputs/ troubleshoot as necessary. Assist in implementation and operation of Robotic Work cells. Prepare BOMs, Order materials Quality -- ensure that EVERY operation is done correctly and checked by the operators before parts move to the next operation. Department metrics -- tracking and reporting Daily problem SOLVING using a root cause analysis approach Machine maintenance plan -- maintenance done by both department personnel and outside support Daily, weekly, and monthly audits This position requires both planning/administrative time in the office as well as a good amount of time on the shop floor.
Desired Education/Skills/Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required Master's degree required Manufacturing experience - 3-5 years of direct shop floor experience Lean manufacturing experience and tools (including 5S, level scheduling, kaizen, Kanban, visual factory, TPM, etc.) Production planning and scheduling using cross-trained personnel Communication -- written and verbal MS Office Blueprint reading/ understanding of GD&T Robotic automation of manufacturing processes To apply for this position please send a cover letter, your resume (in confidence), AND wage requirements.
