Your Opportunity: The Taylor Healthcare Software Development team is looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to help build healthcare applications being sold to hospitals around the United States! Responsibilities include defining the navigation and UI information hierarchy, defining UI standards and guidelines to be followed by the development teams, and creating wireframes and prototypes for all Taylor Healthcare developed applications. Your Schedule: Normal business hours are defined as being 9:00a-5:00p EST Your Responsibilities: Lead the definition and design of the User Experience for new Taylor Healthcare products leading UX discussions with a cross functional team to define the navigation schema and user experience standards and guidelines. Create wireframes and prototypes independently to facilitate the review and approval of new standards and/or functionality. Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure technical feasibility and implementation for all proposed designs. Create UI/UX standards and guidelines to be followed in application development by a team of Software Engineers and coordinate with development teams to put practices in place to ensure those standards and guidelines are followed. Become an expert in healthcare applications understanding end user functionality and how these applications fit into the wider user workflows. Become an expert in application users to understand their workflows, needs, preferences, pain points, etc. Advise developers on screen design and activities inside of existing applications and the established UX standards and schema. Evaluate and select appropriate design tools and software to enhance the efficiency of the design process and ensure those tools integrate into the established development workflow and technology stack. Ability to work with a cross functional team documenting and explaining UX design as they break-down user stories into tasks that can be completed in the sprint Work in a cross functional team to achieve development goals to ensure task completion on time and with high quality. Interact professionally and effectively with business & technical co-workers and customers You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in related field or 4+ additional years relevant work experience 7+ years of experience in UX Design 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment or with healthcare applications Strong portfolio showcasing successful UX design projects and the ability to articulate design decisions Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS Effective oral and written communication skills, interfacing with customers, engineers, and management Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple and straightforward language Work independently and prioritize multiple competing assignments appropriately to meet deadlines while adjusting to a rapidly changing environment Effective team player in a team environment Ability to operate effectively under conditions of moderate ambiguity We Would Also Prefer: Experience working independently as a UX Designer on a team Experience establishing standards for UX including tools and processes Experience with Vue.js and WIJMO Experience in software development, especially in a Microsoft Web Tec
