What you will be doing The Supply Chain Planning & Forecasting Manager is responsible to lead and collaborate on the design, development, deployment of tools andstrategies that will enable more effective data-driven decision making. This role effectively works within a matrixed environment to develop, communicate, execute, and sustain initiatives related to inventory management & forecasting. Manages inventory related solutions applying analytical tools, business processes, policies/procedures and systems in order to accomplish various business objectives. Use inventory, sales, and production data as well as market trends to predict future market conditions and demand for products. Evaluates business processes and designs, develops and implements improvements that reduce cost, improve effectiveness and improves the quality or magnitude of the end result. Interacts extensively within the Sales & Marketing department, Portfolio Mgmt department, Supply Chain Management department and other internal departments throughout the organization in order to provide information, resolve issues, and to support cross functional projects; rapidly detects and corrects problems ensuring root cause of issue has been addressed. Operates as the primary contact between departments and IT to facilitate the delivery of business intelligence solutions. Works closely with IT project managers and operations to coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensures deliverables are accurate and meet customer requirements. Trains others in the solutions designed to carry the process in the Operate and Maintain mode. Collaborates with team members in order to continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and procedures and documents those enhancements. Ensures reporting capability and training to ensure data accuracy and integrity of managed information. Responsible for taking ownership of the process and being accountable for data management; provides support for departmental projects and reports related to data management. Establishes exception reporting, researches data discrepancies and takes corrective action as appropriate. Develops decision support models supporting policy decisions in the supply chain activity. Performs related duties as assigned. What your background should look like Requires broad training in fields such as supply chain, business administration, finance, sales, marketing, IT or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of five (5) years direct progressively responsible experience with strong analytics and reporting experience. Exceptional knowledge and experience with SAP Experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices Ability to interpret trends through general informational reporting expertise in common tools used in joining and mining large databases for directional analytics. Exceptional business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions. Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills. Proven track record for building cohesive and effective relationships; strong interpersonal skills.
