Abercrombie and Fitch Co. Sr. Portfolio Planning Analyst, Information Systems in Columbus, Ohio

The Sr. Portfolio Planning Analyst will work within the A&F IT and business community to help plan and position a portfolio of IT projects and drive individual concepts by assembling the right teams to assess the problem, find a solution and lay out the work and teams required to execute the solution. The Sr. IT Analyst will coordinate and lead team meetings, analyze IT and business processes, assemble project cost estimates, and is accountable to coordinate the project intake process from idea through approval. What will you be doing? * Collaborate with Business Leads and Sponsors to identify the priorities and initial details of IT project requests (concepts) * Partner with Business Leads, IT Application Leads, Application Architects and Finance teams to coordinate the concept intake, estimation, and approval process * Clearly understand the end user’s needs related to the product by working closely with Product Owners, SMEs, and other cross-functional business partners * Document necessary business rules and logic through process flows, system context diagrams, business workflows, excel matrices, visuals, etc. * Work with project leaders, architects, and application teams to determine the right technical solutions that meets the business requirements * Work with Business Leads, IT Application Leads and Enterprise Architects to craft initial Feature Maps and sizing for use with initial project and resource plans * Elicit information from IT Application Teams to assemble the IT resource plan and cost estimates required to execute a project What will you need to bring? * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, Engineering, or related field (required) * 5+ years of professional experience in Business Analyst work, particularly in Agile, preferred. * Strong Business Analyst skills, preferably with Agile experience * Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and negotiation. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate cross-cultural communication between and among highly experienced business and IT associates. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand and effectively communicate complex business and technical processes, problems, and issues. * Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects/tasks in parallel * Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short term perspectives of situations. * Personal Attributes: Confident, Self-starter, Strong work ethic, Highly motivated, Sense of humor, A Winning 'Will-Do' attitude, Team oriented, Critical thinking skills ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO.
