JPMorgan Chase Site Reliability Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Lead initiatives to improve reliability and stability of software applications and platforms using data-driven analytics. Implement practices within an application or platform, including in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, and toil reduction. Work with team members to identify comprehensive service level indicators. Work with stakeholders to establish reasonable service level objectives for customers. Identify and solve technology-related bottlenecks. Act as main point of contact during major incidents for application and identify and solve issues quickly to avoid financial losses. Document and share knowledge within organization via internal forums and communities of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability Engineer, Technical Lead, Product Team Lead, Integration Lead, Technical Account Manager, Platform Lead, Software Engineer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: implementing practices within an application or platform, including in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, and toil reduction; at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java Spring Boot, or .Net; AWS Cloud services; white box monitoring; black box monitoring; SLO alerting; telemetry collection using tools including Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Splunk; continuous integration and continuous delivery tools including Jenkins and Terraform; container orchestration with technologies including ECS and Kubernetes; troubleshooting networking technologies and issues; identifying and solving problems related to complex data structures and algorithms.

Job Location: 1111 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
