Senior Financial Analyst- Hospital Professional Billing Requisition ID 2024-48859 Category Accounting/Finance Overview Under the general direction of the Director of Patient Accounts Professional Billing, the Senior Financial Analyst is an individual who possesses excellent analytical skills as well as the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst's major functions are report generation, analyzing and gathering documentation to support report findings, analyzing and trending PB work queues, producing PB graph packages, and creating/analyzing accounts receivable trend analysis reports. Responsibilities Generates reports, analyses, and gathers documentation to support report findings. Composes well-written reports to summarize fact-based findings and provide practical business recommendations. Ensures that reporting practices are consistent with standards developed for the department and that reports are accurate, concise, and timely. Performs projects advancing the professional corporations revenue cycle goals at the direction of the Director of Patient Accounts Professional Billing. Coordinates and works collaboratively with the Service Line Administrators and professional corporations departments as necessary. Conducts research on topics relevant to the professional corporations, utilizing research resources available on-line or through other means. Produces PB graph packages on a weekly basis. Reviews the PB dashboard and investigates any variances from established metrics for root causes and reports them weekly to the Director of Patient Accounts Professional Billing. Attends all graph package and end of month meetings and is able to articulate billing metric variances at these meetings. Tracks and analyzes all employee work queues and alerts the department supervisors when work queue metrics are not being achieved. Works with finance on any financial concerns or questions. Establishes and maintains high standards of service to all internal customers. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive data.
