The Role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Operations in our Security, Technology, Engineering, Product, and Network (STEPN) organization. This highly strategic role requires a seasoned leader who excels at aligning priorities, managing financial planning, contracting, implementing efficient processes, and ensuring the success of transformative initiatives. You will oversee multiple critical functions, serving as a key partner to cross-functional teams and ensuring the organization achieves its strategic objectives. You will also play a key business development role, working with Product and Engineering and partnering with our Sales, Marketing, and Legal organizations to design and launch bundles and validated designs contextualized for our segments and vertical markets.

This is a work from home position anywhere in the US or Canada.
The Main Responsibilities
Strategic Prioritization & Planning : Develop and manage strategic plans that balance financial, resource, and business priorities while capturing dependencies and ensuring feasibility.
Financial Planning, Contracting, & Budget Management : Partner with our Finance team to oversee the financial planning process, including forecasting, reporting, and budget management for both operational and capital expenditures. Partner with Legal and Procurement to negotiate and lead strategic partner and vendor relationships to drive business results.
Tooling & Systems Management : Oversee the tooling group, drive continuous improvement in tooling to enhance team productivity, reporting accuracy, and strategic decision-making.
Communication & Change Management : Lead communication efforts to ensure stakeholders across the company are informed, aligned, and engaged during organizational transformation and change initiatives.
Strategic Transformation Representation : Represent the organization within broader corporate strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals.
Program Management Leadership : Lead the core program management team, ensuring program delivery is consistent, effective, and aligned with strategic objectives. Establish and enforce best practices for program management, driving accountability and results across teams.
Business Process Engineering : Lead the business process engineering team in documenting and designing future business and automations; Identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and scalability to support growth and innovation.
Business Development : Partner with Product & Technology leaders to ensure resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals. Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Partner organizations to ensure requirement alignment, communication, and change management of products, programs, bundles, and validated designs.
What We Look For in a Candidate
10+ years in related experience
Proven track record in a strategic leadership role within operations, program management, or business operations for a large, complex organization.
Strong expertise in strategic planning, financial planning, and budget management, including capital and operational expenditures.
Excellent communication and change management skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders across functions and levels.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing and mentoring teams across multiple functions.
Demonstrated ability to work at the intersection of business and technology, ensuring alignment between product development, technology capabilities, and market needs.
Experience partnering with Product, Sales, and Partner teams to develop and operationalize revenue-generating initiatives such as bundles, programs, and validated solutions.
Strong understanding of go-to-market strategies and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment around business development goals.
Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and smooth execution.
Proven track record with partner relationships, negotiating complex contracts, designing and leading partner programs to drive business results.
Experience in contextualizing products and solutions for industries (e.g. healthcare, manufacturing, financial services) and segments (e.g. SMB, mid-market, large enterprises, mass markets), and partnering with product, marketing, and engineering stakeholders across the organization to develop and launch solutions, validated designs, or bundles designed for these markets.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$150,380 - $200,500 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$158,290 - $211,050 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$166,210 - $221,610 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$174,120 - $232,160 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
