job summary:
A SCPFO Procurement Analyst is needed for a world class utility company in the Columbus, OH area. This role supports procurement teams in planning, executing, and optimizing reverse auctions to achieve cost savings, enhance supplier relationships, and improve procurement processes through strategic collaboration and analytical expertise.

responsibilities:
Support Procurement Consultants, Procurement Specialists, and Category Managers in planning, executing, and managing reverse auctions.
Assist in sourcing document development and decision-making processes for reverse auctions.
Drive cost savings, enhance supplier relationships, and ensure efficient procurement of goods and services through reverse auction methodologies.
Communicate reverse auction data and outcomes to procurement teams to assess cost savings and supplier performance.
Collaborate with Procurement leadership to evaluate and improve reverse auction strategies and processes.
Address recurring issues and optimize procurement performance.
Skills:
strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective time management and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication for interacting with stakeholders, business partners, and suppliers.
Familiarity with procurement tools such as Maximo and Cognos (preferred).
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and strategic optimization.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain, or a related field or
4 years of relevant work experience.
3 years of relevant customer service and/or procurement experience in addition to the education/work experience requirements.
