JPMorgan Chase SAP BW Lead Software Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology team, you can deliver quality software, learn quickly, adapt, and repeat. You are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Participating in a Global Production Support team that supports multiple applications and with a focus on business Intelligence, data warehouses, lob sub-ledger data mart systems and core enterprise applications

  • Adherence to standard ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change management including adherence to key Operate Service Level Agreements (SLA) - Incident and Business

  • Partnership in relationships with Line of Business (LOB) business partners, Application Development teams, Corporate Finance clients, critical downstream and upstream global technology teams

  • Working closely with multiple Corporate Technology Project Development teams to understand future project releases, impacts to environment, user functionality and capacity planning for short and long term planning. Serving as a key participant in project implementations to production and go-live decisions for major initiatives

  • Assisting in the development of long term strategies to maximize the effectiveness of the applications that we support to our clients, the potential of our support team and adherence to established best practices for our infrastructure

  • Help drive the identification of opportunities to more efficiently support our portfolio of applications

  • Participate in production readiness reviews for code deployments scheduled for deployment (solid release management skill)

  • Participate in the maintenance of forecast, metrics, demand and capacity to support future and existing enhancements

  • Help drive core production activities for multiple applications that will improve the overall delivery of operations and support capabilities for our Business partners

  • Gain experience working with Control-M or Autosys workload automation tools are utilized

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience

  • Experience in supporting SAP BW/BO/BPC operational environments that execute on a daily bases (i.e., daily refresh at minimum)

  • Strong hands-on experience on SAP ABAP programming,& HANA SQL scripts

  • Demonstrated experience in key aspects of constructing, delivering, and supporting business Intelligence, data warehouses, data marts systems, and core enterprise applications

  • Strong experience in support of critical enterprise level applications with an emphasis on analytical skills to formulate recommendations to resolve issues, both tactically and strategically

  • Demonstrated success in a fast paced dynamic production support environment

  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills for data quality and reporting issues, data loads and BPC processing

  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of Business Objects, EPM and Advanced Analysis

  • Experience in SAP ERP, SAP CO and SAP FI

  • Able to handle fast-paced environment

  • Optimizing SAP RISE and streamlining operations

  • Ability to learn quickly, adaptable and can operate under pressure during critical support periods

  • Financial Services industry experience

  • UNIX and SQL experience
