Responsibilities Serves as back office assistant to each member of the RBC Pod, helping with the management of all financial aspects of the research portfolio. Assists the Pre Award RBC to complete all proposal components, including the collection of all required sub-site documentation required by NCH and sponsor. Assists the Post Award RBC to obtain updated sub-site documentation required by NCH and sponsor and submitting agreement requests. Attends regular financial meetings with the Principal Investigator, Pre-Award RBC, Time & Effort RBC, and Post Award RBC. Experience in Microsoft Excel and basic financial management. Assists the Pre- and Post Award RBC and T&E RBC in providing financial guidance and creative problem solving for Principal Investigators Begins to develop professional knowledge through self-study, research, participation in professional development, and attendance at webinars and conferences Shadows all members of the RBC Pod to learn the best practices incorporated by each member. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. No experience required. Preferer experience in Research Administration, Accounting, or equivalent experience. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Position requires ability to talk, listen and type. Position requires the ability to interact effectively with customers and information systems personnel across the organization. Work requires regularly proofreading and checking documents for accuracy and inputting and/or retrieving words or data into or from an automated computer system.
