Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level candidate to join our Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) team.
The candidate will perform basic lab testing, working in three key areas after pulling samples from the plant floor: in-process testing (acid/salt tests and taste testing), pH/viscosity testing and titrations, and packaging/QA (checking labels and code dates, inspecting bottles for cracks and leaks, and weighing them).
Key duties include:
Collecting and testing samples of ingredients, products, or packages according to established procedure.
Monitoring processes to ensure correct and consistent operation; documenting all results neatly and precisely.
Labeling and maintaining product retention samples for shelf life monitoring.
Organizing collected data for management review.
Maintaining lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Communicating non-compliant results immediately to management.
Monitoring plant compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Accurately weighing ingredients, colors, flavorings, and seasonings.
Testing R&D samples for food safety and specification development.
Conducting other duties as assigned by the plant QA Supervisor or QA Manager.
