As a Project Manager- Strategic Initiatives in Wholesale Lending Services, you will be responsible for driving strategy and leading key projects for complex, cross-functional initiatives across loan operations teams that support multiple line of business. You will be heavily involved in organizing, directing, managing, coordinating, and executing key activities to ensure operational readiness and that staff is prepared to manage changes with high quality and sound controls and you will also handle executive communication.
Job responsibilities
Define scope, roles/responsibilities, requirements, design, and measures of success with focus on prioritization and timely results to deliver project objectives
Complete current state analysis and help define the target state (e.g., situation analysis and process re-engineering) and direct activities, monitor details, set priorities and provide status updates
Understand project metrics, critical path, deliverables, processes, identify/negotiate resource needs, ensure business counterpart readiness activities are complete and ensure consistency across lines of business by leveraging strong knowledge of end-to-end processes
Drive consistency in calculation and reporting of key metrics and coordinate and approve changes in systems and/or operating model that will impact processes and procedures
Assess- continuously- process, metrics, and analytics to drive improvements and leverage best practices across functions and integrate effective change management and training techniques to drive end user adoption
Partner with organizations across WLS and businesses we support to identify cross-Line of Business impacted initiatives, drive changes through completion, and ensure defined project objectives are met
Manage issues which impact cross-release or cross-project; resolve issues through mediation/escalation, issue identification & prioritization, proactively anticipate & remediate risk and demonstrate sound judgment in knowing when/what to escalate and to whom
Facilitate sessions and deliver to large audiences to include senior leaders and stakeholders; produce executive communication using the right format and level of detail given the audience
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
7+ years of Operations, Program or Project management, Business Analysis or related experience
Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and short deadlines
Demonstrated ability to partner and communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal
Strong relationship management and interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels
Ability to lead, challenge, and adopt a changing business landscape and ability to focus on the key issues and drive initiatives to conclusion
Ability to create concise communication materials and present findings to senior management and work under minimum direction and use independent judgment in decision-making
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Process Improvement experience; understanding of LEAN Six Sigma methodologies; this role doesn't operate strictly by Six Sigma methodologies but the mindset and perspective is crucial.
