The Opportunity

  • Serves as the voice of the customer and the field sales force to the business units. Serves as the marketing voice during sales presentations of key initiatives to key customers.

  • Prepares and distributes forecasts, sales letters, sales plans, and sales materials.

  • Partners with customer teams with promotional development and communication of launch strategy.

  • Provides input into volume forecasts for new items, promotions, and total business.

  • Provides input into sales force detail plans.

  • Coordinates sales launch meetings for brand planning / new item launches.

  • Provides input to IT for sales data availability.

  • Involved in preparation for sales meetings and other key presentations.

  • Participates in the facilitation of sales panels.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Individual contributor.

  • No supervisory/management responsibilities.

  • Reports to Reports to Sr. Sales Development Manager.

Position Accountability/Scope:

  • Operates independently within own scope of responsibility under minimal supervision. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

  • Performs non-repetitive, analytical work. Uses a wide application of principles, theories, concepts, and draws on previous experience to determine a course of action.

  • Handles both tactical and strategic work. Participates in projects such as the development of sales/marketing plans and forecasts, however generally informed of decisions made through the process for execution.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.

  • Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results could result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • No department budget responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • 8+ years related experience beyond the degree.

  • Demonstrated sales management experience, managing multiple categories and customers.

  • Advanced knowledge of sales, trade, category management, shopper/category development, as well as sales/marketing concepts and methods.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute sales marketing strategies and tactics, as well as assist in the development of the strategies.

  • Strong analytical ability.

  • Ability to independently create and manipulate data in MS Excel spreadsheets.

  • Ability to independently create presentations in MS PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
