JPMorgan Chase Lead Software Engineer - Java Backend for Authentication in Columbus, Ohio

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector and Fraud Risk technology, you will play a crucial role in an agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a key technical contributor, your responsibilities will include developing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Proficient in design patterns like Microservices, APIs.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Expertise building and operating large-scale high-performance environments with distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.).
Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
Experience with developing large scale platforms with strong understanding of complex distributed systems running on hybrid infrastructure (on premises, private and private cloud environments).
Excellent communication skills and ability to present to and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across product, technology, data and design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Evaluate sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think.
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
8+ years' experience in design, develop, and maintain robust applications specifically using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
Strong understanding of Kafka.
Work with Cassandra/Oracle databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience in Service-oriented architecture and familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Preferred qualifications:
AWS experience.
knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud native experience.
Experience with implementing industry standard cybersecurity & technology controls.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
