Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Governance Analyst to join our banking client's team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong technical background in IT governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC), and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across technology, business, information security, risk, compliance, and audit teams. This role requires the ability to translate complex technical solutions into business terms, ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and various levels of leadership. The IT Governance Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing best practices, and supporting the organization's overall risk management framework. This position would be a hybrid role, based in Minnetonka, MN.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate risks, issues, and IT concepts both verbally and in writing. Collaborate with technology and business owners, information security, risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure alignment and clear communication among all stakeholders.
Technical Expertise: Utilize working knowledge of recognized frameworks to support IT governance initiatives and compliance efforts within the banking environment.
Problem-Solving and Performance: Demonstrate a proactive and positive 'can-do' approach to problem-solving. Deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting objectives consistently.
Project Management: Manage and support IT governance, risk, and compliance projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and project goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions in business terms.
1-3 years of experience in IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), information security, and/or audit, with a track record of successful project deliverables.
Familiarity with recognized frameworks related to IT governance and compliance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
Nice to Have:
Experience using Archer or other related GRC systems.
Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops or similar agile toolsets.
Technical writing experience, particularly in documenting IT governance processes and procedures.
Experience processing, analyzing, or working with various types of data including risk ratings, controls, and metrics.
Knowledge of control testing processes and associated tests in relation to project plan implementation.
Relevant certifications such as CISM, CISA, CySA+, Security+, or CRISC.
