Position Overview Interested in Supply Chain and the IT applications that support these functions? Hexion is looking for a summer intern to help support these important business functions. The candidate will gain exposure to company critical Supply Chain functions and processes and understand the SAP EHS and SD modules that support these business areas. The candidate will get hands-on experience working directly in SAP software used at Hexion. This will include working with business users to understand system issues, identify potential system enhancements, and ultimately implement system changes to support the business. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements and how to address them through process improvements or system changes Assist with troubleshooting production issues and other daily support activities Perform basic SAP system changes, including making configuration changes, writing a technical system change specification, testing system changes, and deploying system changes to live system Understand the role of SAP master data and how it impacts system functionality Facilitate changes with appropriate IT or business functional areas Document system solutions and/or process changes Provide training and support to end users where necessary Minimum Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Business, Management Information Systems or Computer Science Effective verbal and written communication Able to work both independently and as part of team Organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking. Analytical and problem-solving skills Self-starter Foundational Supply Chain process knowledge and/or Environmental, Health and Safety is a plus Education High School Diploma Other In order to be considered for this position candidates are required to submit an application for employment through our career site, be at least 18 years of age, willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process, as well as additional periodic background checks as required by the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) or regulations adopted by the department of Homeland Security or other regulatory agencies.
